Black Interior Doors

As promised, here's a await at my freshly painted interior doors. I don't fifty-fifty hear the brassy knobs hence much anymore.  In fact, I form of similar them at nowadays alongside the dark doors together with am no hurry to switch them out similar I was earlier painting.

As far equally physical care for goes, I started alongside Sherwin Williams Solo pigment (said to locomote the same equally the "ProClassic" line, they but had to role Solo because the base of operations was hence dark) inwards Tricorn Black Semi-Gloss.  I wanted to endeavour this pigment because I've read rave reviews of how good it goes on article of furniture together with leaves a smoothen finish.   I ran out of the SW pigment together with had a gallon of Behr mixed inwards the same Tricorn black, together with I honestly couldn't say a divergence betwixt the character of the two. 

The white doors were painted alongside a sprayer when the solid was built, hence they were super smoothen together with slick.  I'm non necessarily recommending this, but I did non prime number them or prep inwards whatsoever agency other than wiping them downward good.  Once they cure good I actually haven't had problem alongside scratching, together with if ane does demo upwardly hither together with at that spot it's a quick together with slow touch-up.  I've flora the Behr pigment to locomote dainty together with durable.

Also, I started alongside a brush together with foam roller, but later 2 doors thought it would locomote much faster to spray them.  I removed iv other doors from the hinges together with took them exterior to role my pigment sprayer.  I'm never certain what's faster because it nonetheless was quite a physical care for to take the doors, lug them outside, record off the hardware, spray them, flip them, together with and hence re-install them.  And, the 24-hour interval I was spraying they decided to cut back trees along the ability lines exterior of our dorsum fence, hence equally they mulched away I'm pretty certain unopen to of that dusty debris flight through the air stuck to my doors. For now, I've exclusively done all of the hallway doors.  I may pigment unopen to doors within the bedrooms inwards the hereafter but haven't decided yet.  I'll in all likelihood but stick to rolling those if together with when I pigment them.
