New Transit Tweets On Google Maps


Transid's RER Tweet Map is a oestrus map of over 4,000 Tweets inward Paris that cite the RER (Paris' rapid transit system).

The map uses the novel HeatMap layer inward the Google Maps API. This visualisation of the Tweets apace reveals that (maybe unsurprisingly) that many people cite RER when they are at a station or when on a train.

The map includes a pose out of options that permit y'all to adapt the display of the HeatMap layer on the map. The Google Maps API gives developer options to adapt the radius of information points, the opacity of the layer in addition to the colors used. Transid's RER Tweet Map has created buttons to permit the users to modify these elements themselves to adapt how the oestrus map displays on the map.
