Lanterns Inward The Kitchen

Finally, I've had a gamble to photograph the large projection that I've teased y'all about, in addition to then went on trip subsequently trip earlier having the fourth dimension to post almost them.  

This projection was waiting inward the wings (a.k.a. the garage) for a long time.  I purchased these almost 8 months agone at our Habitat for Humanity ReStore.  They were construct novel inward the box hence they had several, but they were dated yesteryear their bright, shiny, brassy finish.

However, alongside their classic shape, large size in addition to $50 cost tag I knew I had found some winners.  I took the measurements in addition to went habitation to see them.  I wasn't certain on the size, hence I made a rattling unsmooth mock-up alongside some posterboard to larn an see of what they mightiness move similar over the island.    

It's may move difficult to say from the photos, but these lanterns are LARGE.  They are almost 18" broad in addition to the primary lantern portion (not the chain) is 30" tall.  We decided to hang them a niggling high only to accept enough of caput clearance, hence the bottom border is 38" from the laissez passer on of the counter.  They are spread apart only a niggling to a greater extent than than I wanted them to be, but nosotros had to operate alongside the seat of empty-headed things similar studs in addition to ceiling braces.  Whatever.   

Everything inward me wanted to pigment those lights a fun color, but since our flooring excogitation is hence opened upwards I see I'd ameliorate proceed it consistent alongside the other lighting, which is all Oil-Rubbed Bronze.

One of the best parts is the cool shadows these lights throw upwards on the ceiling.
